Argentina represented at The Open Championship

Loading ...Angel Cabrera, Andres Romero and Rafa Echenique were the players representing Argentina at the most important golf tournament of the year. Argentina was very well represented, as El Pigu tied for 13th and El Pato tied for 24th. Our golf was very well represented, El Pato was in contention during the 4 rounds of golf, but his putter didn’t work ok. Romero’s golf worked very good, a couple of bad holes during the 3rd round were the cause of not being closer to the winning score. It was a great week of golf, Tom Watson’s performance gave a lot of hope to older golfers and it was just luck who didn’t allow great Tom to win his 9th Major Championship.
Now our 2 main pro golfers will rest for a couple of weeks in Argentina previous to their participation at the Bridgestone Invitational and the PGA Championship, golf’s last Major Championship of the year. The game of golf continues it’s growth in Argentina and these two players are very important to continue this growth.
