2009 Golf World Junior Champions dinner

Let´s Golf Argentina was invited on August 5th to the dinner in honor of the 2009 Junior world Champions Andy Schombaum, Jorgito Fernandez Valdez, Tommy Cocha and Leandro Marelli. The event was held at the public course the Argentine Association has in Villa Adelina, province of Buenos Aires and almost 150 people attended to the event. Some of past junior argentine players such as Matias Anselmo, Luis Obarrio, Ernesto Rivas, Estanislao Goya, Matias O´Curry, Santiago Abreu were part of the event.

Mark Lawrie, Argentine Golf Association managing director started the ceremony with a few words and then Juan Nicholson, the president of the Association gave a big summary of what the golf school led by Ruben Llanes has done in the last years. Then a video was projected showing images of the history of an event that was played by Adam Scott, Justin Rose, Trevor Immelman and a lot more of the present golf champions. And finally Mr Jorge Morgan, the team captain, made a summary of what that week in Japan was and he couldn´t hold the tears when he related how the victory came.

This is a big victory for Argentina and our golf will face the 2010 World Amateur with the real possibility of winning it for the first time.
